How It Started
Thriving Natives was founded by Caleb Holt, a lifelong plant lover raised in the garden and surrounded by Aotearoa’s wild beauty.
After working in the landscape and horticulture space, Caleb saw the need for a nursery that not only produced quality plants but did so with intention - blending regenerative growing practices, a deep love for our native flora, and a keen eye for what looks great in a landscape.
From seed to soil to sale, every detail is considered - so our plants arrive to you strong, vibrant, and ready to thrive.
How We Grow
We grow everything at our home-based West Auckland nursery in the Waitakere Ranges, with care and precision - making our plants naturally acclimated to thrive in the surrounding areas.
Our growing practices are rooted in restoration, soil health, and ecological protection - Working with nature, not against it. With the majority of our stock being grown from locally foraged seeds or eco-sourced plants.
